31 Day Challenge: Day 5 Blue

Can you see the hibiscus flower? If you look closely there is a very faint image of a hibiscus flower that I stamped using a matte polish. To achieve this look I first applied Zoya Phoebe in matte. Then added a top coat which took away the matte finish. Once that was dried I stamped the hibiscus image using Zoya Phoebe in matte. Wah-Lah  this is what you get. This was my rookie attempt, but next time it will look better. What do you guys think? Funky?

31 Day Challenge: Day 4 Green

Hi Everyone! I'm starting the 31 day nail challenge. Hahah I know I'm late, but I my work schedule doesn't allow me to do my nails every day. This is reason #1 why I need to get another job. jk!

Here is what I came up with for day 4. It's a little green on green action although the photos kind of make it look neon which in person it's not.

Independence Day Mani

Hello everyone! Today I have an early Independence Day design. I recreated the American flag by using red nail art tape for the stripes and Konad plate 3 for the stars. The tape came in rolls which I cut using small sewing scissors and applied to my dry polish.  I ended up getting 10 rolls of (various colors) tape for $4.45 on suntekstore.com. Stoked right? Um not really...it took them over 6 weeks before it left their warehouse and another 2-3 weeks before I could get it- claiming it was stuck in customs. lol  I mean I could have paddled a canoe to Hong Kong and brought it home myself in the time it took them to mail it, but that's ok. I still love it! The shine on this thing just doesn't quit!

Sunset Gradient

Aloha! Today's mani is a sunset gradient manicure with a color tip and coconut tree as the accents. I finsihed it off with a "looks wet" top coat... which I looove! It's an ultra high gloss topcoat that I like just as much Seche Vite. My camera seemed to be on a red and orange kick today, but in person it's a lot more natural looking ;)

Black & White

Hi there, I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!! Today I have stamping manicure and this idea came to me as a way to stretch my black polish from my previous manicure (the black stained glass mani) so instead of having to start from scratch I only had to remove the polish from my accent nails.

Anywho...this what I came up with using Konad plate M60 and ring binder re- enforcements to create the half-moon action on my ring finger and thumb =)

The finished look kind of reminded me of those wrap/sticker manicures.
