Money Manicure

Aloha everyone! Sorry it's been a while since my last post. I guess I've been instagraming my nail art more than blogging. Probably because I'm lazy and instragram is a lot quicker. haha ( My IG name is @tropicalnailart) Ok, so today I wanted to show my french tip money manicure. This is something I have been wanted to do for a while, but never had the tip length to do it. I really liked the end result and hope you do to.

To create it I started with 2 coats of a clear base coat. I then applied a brush on nail glue to the tip of my nail and held the paper design in place with a pair of wide nail art tweezers. Once it was secure, I added a gold line using a glitter gold striper and finished of the look with 2 coats of SecheVite top coat.
The removal for this mani required a good soaking in acetone to completely dissolve the nail glue, but surprisingly enough it didn't dry out or burn my cuticles. =)

Dotticure drops

Hi, I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season so far. For today's manicure/dotticure I used Zoya Natty, a blue grey creme polish, and Wet n' Wild White. To section off the colors I used striping tape and a large dotting tool for the drops. I kind of feel a smaller dotting tool would have worked better for my short nails, but you can play around with it and see what works best.
I reversed the colors on 2 of my nails as accent. Then the final step was to add 2-3 coats of top coat which is really important to smooth out the uneven texture. Trust me my camera and these close up don't really do it justice. In person it is a lot cooler and definitely eye catching.

Horrible lighting... sorry ;)

Til next time
Happy Polishing
